Hi Carl,

I just checked on a CentOS 5.6 machine with these libraries
    installed

libxml2-2.6.26-2.1.2.8.el5_5.1
libxml2-2.6.26-2.1.2.8.el5_5.1
libxml2-devel-2.6.26-2.1.2.8.el5_5.1
libxml2-python-2.6.26-2.1.2.8.el5_5.1

Once you install the libraries, recompile glusterfs 3.2.5 and check.
It seems to be working fine in 3.2.5
