Hi Arend-Jan,<br><br>Agreed upon your point. Its possible for making mistakes in writing spec file, and if we start without problem, this is never looked into as admin assumes everything went smoothly. (well, if he sees the log, he can see a warning though).<br>

When the export directory does not exist GlusterFS tries to create it and<br>
(if successfull) it will continue as if everything is OK.<br>
<br>
The only reason to do this that I can think of, is to convenience a user<br>
who's setting up a new system.<br>
<br>
But typically if the export directory does not exist, this either points to<br>
a misconfiguration or, more likely, that the volume is not available (bad<br>
disk, raid offline etc). IMO the only proper thing to do is to produce an<br>
error and bail out.<br>
